Creating Your Mandala

One of the great things about Mandalas is the fact that they are so simple to make. Today, I thought I'd show you how to make a mandala.

You will need a piece of paper, colored pencils, crayons, or markers.

Step 1: Drawing the circle.

Start by drawing a circle on a piece of paper. You can use a compass or just something big and round like a glass, bowl, or plate.

Step 2:

In the center of the circle, draw a dot as a focal point. I usually start by making an X in the center and move outward from the center.

Step 3:

Start drawing. I usually work from the center and go out. But just see where it takes you.

Step 4: Continue drawing until you have something you like.

Step 5:

Color your Mandala. Use colored pencils, markers, crayons, pastels, whatever you want. This is definitely my favorite part

Step 6:

Completed Mandala!

You now have a completed mandala to share with others or keep for yourself.

I really enjoy creating mandalas. They are a great way to decrease stress, express yourself, and just enjoy creating things.
